Read this quick guide if you have no Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in Ethernet Properties, and therefore you have Internet connectivity issues.

If the things are working well, you should have this item in your Ethernet Properties dialog box.

TCP IP v4 entry is missing in the Ethernet Properties

If you don’t see Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in Ethernet Properties, due to malware or damaged operating system, here is the tip how to fix this issue. I have tested this procedure on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 operating system.

Use key combination Windows Key + R to open Run dialog box; type ncpa.cpl and press Enter on your keyboard to open Network Connections Control panel applet. Right click on the Ethernet icon and select Properties:

Windows 10 ethernet adapter properties

Click on the Install button, select Protocol, and then click on the Add… button:

Select network feature type windows 10

Click on Have Disk… button; type in the following location in the text box: c:\windows\INF , and then click on OK.

Install network protocol from have disk dialog box

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4) and click on OK button.

Windows10 install network protocol

Restart your computer, just in case, and see if the problem is fixed.
